The first night is not always about sex!

Much has been said and written about wedding night sex and how every couple makes love on the first opportunity. But this is far from the truth. You may or may not have sex on the first night. So, don’t be disheartened if it does not happen.

Try to relax

It’s very important to stay relaxed because the more you get tensed, the more difficult it would be for you to enjoy one of the most important nights of your married life. Also, it’s easier to have sex when your body and mind is relaxed.

It’s okay to feel awkward

Having sex for the first time is quite a different experience than what we read about it. Yes, it can be both pleasurable as well as awkward and nothing can prepare you for it. It’s important to be open-minded and be ready for any surprises (both good and bad).

You may not bleed even if you are a virgin

Most of us believe that a woman bleeds when she has sex for the first time because her hymen breaks. But what people need to understand that a hymen may tear because of various reasons, besides sex. It might be any vigorous physical activity like cycling or horse riding that may rupture a hymen.

It might be a little painful

Don’t be scared if the experience turns out to be a little painful. Although you might or might not bleed, yet the chances of getting hurt are quite high.

Keep a lubricant handy

Believe it or not, a person who never had sex before will have no idea how useful a lubricant can be. Besides making penetration easier, a lubricant can save you from a lot of pain and awkwardness.

You may not have an orgasm

Trust us, a lot of women who have sex regularly, may not have an orgasm every time they make love. So, don’t be disappointed if you don’t have an orgasm when you have sex on your wedding night.
